Who We Are

Joe Quijano, Managing Partner

quijanojosephPrior to founding Meliora Strategies, Joe’s career in public relations spanned the political and corporate worlds.  He served as communications coordinator in the New York State Assembly, has worked on political campaigns at the state and local levels throughout New York and currently serves as a public affairs specialist for one of the nation’s largest insurance companies.

Joe developed his career from the ground up as a campaign volunteer to a corporate public affairs specialist managing multi-million dollar outreach programs.  Joe’s experience in public affairs, whether story pitching, drafting press releases, crisis communications, event planning, or public relations strategies make him a valuable asset to your campaign.

In his experience as a public relations professional Joe has learned that it takes a lifetime to build a positive reputation but one second to destroy it.  His knowledge will help you protect your brand and manage your reputation to achieve the results your campaign desires.  Public relations is more than just damage control and press releases.  Joe’s expertise is a resource to clients as they work to get their message heard by the right people.

Born in Syracuse, NY, Joe earned his master’s in public administration from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy and his undergraduate degree in English from the University of Rochester.  Joe is an active volunteer in Albany and Saratoga counties giving his time to organizations such as Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, and LeaderSpark.
